Maite Robles was born and raised in Hialeah, Florida and is a proud graduate of Hialeah Senior High School.  Ms. Robles holds a Bachelor's in Communication from the University of Miami and a Master's in English from FIU.  While working in Public Relations one day, she ran into her former AP English Lit teacher (who happened to be her all-time favorite), and he convinced her to try teaching.  She accepted a position teaching 10th grade Language Arts at Hialeah Senior, and the rest is history.  While there, she taught 10th grade Language Arts, Dual Enrollment Composition, and AP Literature. Before becoming an Assistant Principal at North Miami Middle in 2016, she worked as a Reading Coach at North Miami and American Senior High.  Ms. Robles feels that her biggest responsibility as an educator is to get her students to maximize their potential and never rest on their laurels, and she hopes her passion and dedication will contribute to all the success and achievements already evident at Jose Marti MAST. 

Ms. Robles is married and has a 13-year-old son and two dogs she considers her sons – Rupert and Tito. She has many interests and hobbies, but among the ones that stand out most are football (go Dolphins, go Canes), basketball (go Heat), reading, trying new foods, watching her son play basketball, and travel.
